Experience Chanoyu with the Finest Utensils

Tokyo GEIDAI with Morin Soma and Kino Maho from Urasenke New York School will be serving matcha in an elegant modern setting inspired by traditional Chakai style. The Japanese tea ceremony / Chanoyu is a traditional Japanese art involving the ceremonial preparation and presentation of matcha. Tokyo GEIDAI regularly hosts "Ginchakai" in Ginza, Tokyo exhibiting their modern essential Japanese tea utensils. This year, those works exhibited in Ginchakai will be coming to New York City. We hope all guests will have a great experience enjoying tasting matcha with the finest unique utensils refining the Japanese traditional culture of matcha drinking along with a small seasonal confectionery/wagashi from Japan.

Each session takes approximately 30-40 minutes.
Limit to 15 guests for each session.
